My new blog is here.

I initially started working on a new blog because I was getting tired of the spam that was injected in my RSS feeds (oddly enough, it’s only visible if you use Google Reader). But when I was halfway done with the new blog, the RSS spam from this blog disappeared. Just like that.

I was relieved at first, but sad at the same time as I didn’t really need a new blog anymore. I was growing fond of starting a new chapter in my online-journal-ness.

Contemplating over a few weeks, I decided to go ahead with the new blog anyway. I’ve used this theme for the better part of 4 years, and is in dire need of a fresh coat of paint. Sure I could apply a new theme, but I think I just want to close this chapter and start anew.

Besides some of the old posts like the rants, are quite embarrassing. ;)

So, dear readers, I’ve hoped you enjoyed this blog over the past 4 years, as much as I have enjoyed writing in it.

And oh, my fellow subscribers, please update your RSS feeds with this new one. And to my blog friends, please update links to my blog with this new address.

Lining up at midnight for a game is probably the most nerdiest thing I’ve done. Respect.

But hey, how’s this for performance. The title sold 4.7 million copies in the US and UK alone in the first 24 hrs!

This coming Tuesday, life will forever be split into two eras.

The time before Modern Warfare 2. And the time after Modern Warfare 2.

It’s gonna be crazy ;)

So like, I bought the epic game Batman Arkham Asylum the other week. And like, it’s the best superhero game, ever. It’s so gonna be Game of 2009 (after Modern Warfare 2). For sure.

Anyhow, I finished it and everything, but like today, it totally crashed and corrupted my save file. That was like, 16-20 hours of play time. Gone. Oh well, at least my XBOX Achievements are still there.

A crazy weekend of nice cafe breakfasts, comic book stores, crazy dancing and a never ending river of alcohol. Good times.

Toy Story is one of my all time fav films. I could go on raving about it until the end of time, but I’ll save you the agony.

I saw this film in 1996 and I remember being absolutely amazed at the sheer brilliance of the technology but more importantly, the imagination that went into creating this film. The universe that these toys inhibited, as well as the toys themselves felt so alive. Back then I had it on video rental and being the Asian that I am, I double taped it so I could watch it over and over again every week. I was so hooked.

Of course, I immediatetly warmed to the stubborn Buzz Lightyear. A space toy with an impressive wing span and a wicked laser to boot. He could also fly around the room with his eyes closed! This guy was fucking awesome.

Buzz also had a line that has transcended it’s way beyond the film, “To Infinity and Beyond”. As I kid, this line sounded pretty awesome and nothing more. But these days I can resonate with it more, as it feels more like a mantra and an outlook on life.

Over the years I’ve always wanted a Buzz action figure but I was either too poor to afford one, or when I could afford one the toys were pretty crappy. That was until just a few weeks ago when Disney/Pixar released the Super Deluxe Toy Story editions.

These toys were produced using the same digital files that made up the characters in the films. What does this mean? It means they’re the most accurate Toy Story toys ever.

Colour has never been my forté. I’ve always had trouble selecting colours that create harmony, yet look awesome. So most of the time I revert to monochromatic. Maybe it’s the sombre mood that the lack of colour brings to an image that I find quite pleasing.
