Thumbs up.

Great to finally see the motherfuckers on the big screen. This movie delivers nothing more but a new intepretation of the Transformers universe and the giant-arse Transformers themselves in 3d glory. And saying the Transformers look fucken awesome is only an understatement.

I loved how they made Bumble-Bee, he actually looks like a bee. And fuckity fuck Ironhide and Blackout look too awesome.

My only gripe with the movie is that it’s focused on the humans, rather than the Transformers themselves, so most of the bits and relationships you know and love between the Transformers (ie. the bickering between Star Scream and Megatron) aren’t really there.

Oh and Megatron doesn’t even come into the film until the last 30 minutes - which brings a question of what’s more gay: Megatron coming into the movie too late or Megatron looking than a spikey blow up doll?

Overall, it’s a typical Michael Bay movie - a Hollywood blockbuster with no soul. But still good.

P.s. Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith from the Matrix) is Megatron - and I couldn’t even tell…

You know how with most home-made video productions you just laugh at the acting and corniness? Not with this one. It’s a story we all can connect with - well with the nice guys anyway…

And one of their classics…Yellow Fever

Thumbs up. The movie dives straight into the action, no love side-story, not much of a story at all. But this is a heist movie, and heisting action is all I wanna see.

Good shit. Thumbs up for me.

So much better than the crapfest that was Spiderman 3. When this trilogy comes in a boxset and becomes half price, I’m getting it.

Like all > 3 hour films, it does drag on abit but by golly it’s entertaining. The plot is abit all over the place and half the time I couldn’t understand what Chow Yun Fat/Ken Watanabi and Geoffrey Rush were saying (darn pirate speak). But this is made up by the awesomely awethome ship battle scenes (I wanted more!) and that trippy segment when they rescued Johnny Depp from that “death” place. And wtf, a ship that sails through the sand dunes? Fuck yeah!

I could also go on about how awethome Davy Jones and his crew are but I wanna play Age of Empires 2 now…

Awesome seeing Venom and Sandman though.

This is the best Spiderman mostly because it’s “funny”. It’s got “funny” scenes. But, the movie is just…. so lame. There are hoards of scenes where, fuck, it’s just so corny and lame it’s not funny.

Peter Parker having emo hair? Wtf. Peter Parker dancing like his on broadway? Wtf. Catching Spiderman webslinging right in front of an American flag in a way that it screams “America owns the world”? Like, wtf-fuck.

(I would see it again on DVD though)

Hmm, not too keen on the Buble’s latest efforts. With his last two records they only needed one spin and I instantly felt all warm and tingly in the loins. This time around, even after 4-5 spins, I don’t feel anything at all.

Have I posted this before? I’ve pimped this video quite a few times in the last few years that I’ve forgotten where I pimped it. Anyway, yeah. Made this for high school graduation back in 2002. Back when I was sexy sexier.

After working hard for the week leading up to the 4 day long weekend, I FINALLY went to see Frank Miller’s 300 last night.

After 7-8 months of anticipation I can honestly say it’s a spectacular film. Even though the story is as thin as a Kleenix, the ferocity of the battles, the super awesome battle troop designs and the glorified blood make it an instant classic epic in my books.

It’s one beautiful film. My jaw dropped many a time when the action slowed down, drapped with gorgeous colour.

Sadly though, it doesn’t make my top 5 films list. (If you’re wondering, the list consists of Lock Stock Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and Toy Story…)
