So I’m contemplating whether I should set up a new blog dedicated to sketches and doodles, and present only finished artwork on this blog. Otherwise, it’ll get pretty messy if I just have it all here. Hmm… decisions.

About the sketch: heavy reference from Rohan knight concepts from the Lord of the Rings movies. I have no idea how these helmets are generally structured, so I guess the best place to start was from the films’ artbooks. The artwork on the helmet is from all over the shop. I was just doodling lines rather than trying to find a coherant design.

And instead of a horse’s head at the crest of the helmet, I decided to use an ox instead – an animal very close to the soul of Vietnam.
