Check out my new eCrib

Wow wordpress. It’s sexy, easy to use and can do a shitload of more stuff than my own home-made blogs could ever do. Most importantly, people can now permalink my shit and subscribe to my RSS feeds (yes I’m looking at you Stephen).

It took me quite while to play around with the codes but here it is in a ‘presentable’ form. There’s a shitload of other stuff to change but they’ll come with time.

Some of you may be wondering why I’m not coding my own blogs again like before. Well a big reason is because of time and skills. I don’t have the skills to code something swanky and dynamic like this – and dynamics is an important thing in today’s information age. Before I would manually update the html pages (with no permalinks!) and upload it through FTP (laugh if you will mo fo’s, I’m no coder) – this of course is pretty gay and took up too much time. The main disadvantage of ‘home-made-blogging’ is that I would be limited to only blogging at home since that’s where all the software is. So I moved to a less customisable format known as blogger.com. Great for writing from anywhere with a computer and the internet, but its main disadvantage is that all the content is stored on its servers meaning I don’t really have a backup on my hdd – something that still gives me the creeps.

I soon noticed Wordpress popping up on some other blogs, which seemed pretty elite. It’s got everything that one would need: one being the Catergories function! Noyce!

It may look abit bland, but at the end of the day, it’s the content that counts. Besides, blogs I read these days only have one picture at the header, followed by a fistfull of text. I’m there to read, not to look.

bah you’re not fooling me with this “it’s all about content” crappola.
    don’t get lazy on me..
make it look hot like a kebab that’s fully tabouli

or if u want some sort of wanky spin on it. make it personal, not generic. it’s your own blog, so i think that should be reflected in how you present it as well.

and yeah yeah.. i’ll be spruce mine up when i get round to doing a new site.
